Maya Jama finally confirmed as new Love Island host

Maya Jama will make her debut as host for the winter Love Island series in early 2023

Maya Jama has been confirmed as the new host of Love Island, ITV has announced.

Laura Whitmore announced that the summer series this year would be her final one as host of the ITV2 show, and there has been speculation over who would be taking over from her ever since.

Returning to South Africa for the first of two series next year, lovestruck singletons will be guided through the twists and turns of coupling up in the iconic surroundings by the brand new host.

Maya said: "I’ve always been such a massive Love Island fan and I’m so excited to be hosting one of the nation’s favourite shows! I can’t wait to get into the Villa to meet all of the Islanders."
