Ten million people have watched the new trailer for the Barbie movie since it dropped on Wednesday
But there’s only one thing anyone is talking about, Margot Robbie’s “perfect” tootsies.
Robbie, plays Barbie, in the film set to hit cinemas on 21 July, and one scene, in particular, has caused a real stir.
After an aerial shot showing Barbie Land, the camera focuses in on Robbie’s legs as she walks into shot in fluffy pink heels. She then steps out of them, and onto her tiptoes, in a moment of pure ecstasy for foot fetishists.
One person remarked how “perfect” Robbie’s feet are, while another wrote: “The first shot of the Barbie The Movie trailer is a shot of Margot Robbie’s feet. They know there’s a massive group of guys that will pay to see this in IMAX.”
Another infatuated fan, said: “I’m at the point where I think I could pick out Margot Robbie’s feet in a lineup.”
The New York Post noted that Robbie’s feet grace WikiFeet — a site dedicated to those with podophilia, a sexual attraction to feet, and that said had achieved the feat of, “feet of the day.”
Other users suggested the shot was a nod to famed director Quentin Tarantino, who cast Robbie in his 2019 film “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” and who has long been rumoured to have a foot fetish.
“Tarantino reacts to the Barbie trailer,” tweeted one user.
The movie, starring Margot Robbie as the iconic doll, along with Ryan Gosling, is due for release on 21 July.
One person wrote about the trailer: “I love how dedicated they are to make Barbie’s town, accessories, clothes, look like a children’s playset. I’m glad this isn’t a gritty live action, but a campy one instead.”
Another added: “The fact that they’ve given nothing away about the plot and the movie has such immense hype shows how influential Barbie truly is.”
When asked to address this accusation in 2021, the Pulp Fiction director said: “There’s a lot of feet in a lot of good directors’ movies.
“Before me, the person foot fetishism was defined by was Luis Buñuel, another film director. And Hitchcock was accused of it and Sofia Coppola has been accused of it.”
Ryan Gosling plays, Ken, in the Greta Gerwig director movie.
