Love Island's Priya donates earnings from show to NHS charities
It may surprise you how much she got for appearing on Love Island...
Love Island star Priya Gopaldas has donated all of the money she received from going on Love Island to NHS Charities Together.
The 23-year-old is a medical student and had a stint in the villa earlier this month. However it was a brief one, with Priya only lasting a week in the villa before being booted out along with Brett Staniland.
Priya has now revealed how much she received for her appearance on the show, before revealing that she donated all of her earnings from the show to the NHS.
Sharing a screenshot of her donation on her Instagram story, Priya showed she has donated her £750 pay cheque entirely to charity. Alongside the snap she wrote: "Love Island pay cheque put to use."
It is rare for the show's contestants to reveal how much they earned for their time in the villa, but £750 for a week's holiday isn't bad going.
Priya was eliminated from the show just a week before the big final along with Brett, which came as a surprise to absolutely no one after the awkward interactions between the pair and the fact they had arrived so late on the show.
After her elimination, the medical student thanks fans for their support, writing on Instagram: "Totally overwhelmed and HUGELY grateful for all the positive support I’ve received after my little stint on @loveisland Thank you, all of your kind messages definitely don’t go unnoticed.
"Spending the next week soaking up the sunshine out here in Mallorca and shall be answering some questions about my experience in the villa on my story this evening."
