Listen to new Rudimental song featuring Dizzee Rascal

Lia Nicholls

Rudimental have released this new song in the nick of time for their Lovebox Festival performance.

The four-piece, who are headlining the event in London’s Victoria Park, dropped the track from their new album hours before they took to the stage.

Dizzee Rascal features on the new reggae-influenced track titled Love Ain’t Just A Word – a huge coup for the band as they have been trying to nab time with the Rascal for a while.

Rudimental said: “We grew up with Dizzee; we all used to hang out as kids together in East London. We were working on a track and thought he’d be perfect on it, so invited him over to our studio, Major Toms.

“He came over one night, liked what he heard, so wrote and recorded his verse there and then! So glad that we finally got to work together.”

It also features silky-voiced Anne-Marie, who is very much part of the Rudimental family after supporting them on tour.

Anyone at Lovebox should listen out for this, it is going to go off!

We The Generation is released on September 18 on Major Toms/Asylum, go to www.rudimental.co.uk for all upcoming live dates.
