“We’ll blame knob-head over there.”

After his recent performances at Reading and Leeds, Liam Gallagher has announced details of a new tour and if you’ve seen the former Beady Eye singer perform his solo stuff, you’ll know that he’s more than happy to play some of Oasis’ classic hits.

Here’s what he played at Leeds.

It’s very unlikely that his beloved frenemy Noel will be joining Liam on his upcoming tour, but in a recent interview with Huck magazine the Wall of Glass singer has provided a few interesting details regarding the circumstances and environment that surrounded Oasis’ split.

The general consensus is that the split after a blazing backstage argument backstage at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris, but Liam tells another account.

“The way the band ended was very planned out. Don’t believe for one minute that it just happened like that [Management company] Ignition and Noel thought, ‘How the fuck do we get out of this one so we can go solo without causing an uproar? We’ll blame knob-head over there who’s having too much to drink’

The singer adds: “They knew what they were doing. Our kid having little meetings with Paul Weller. ‘How did you get out of The Jam?’ And with Johnny Marr.‘How did you get out of one of the biggest bands in the country?’ It was all marked out and dickhead here walked right into it, which is fine. There’s no time limit on the truth coming out. People are clocking it now anyway.” I certainly didn’t ruin Oasis. I fucking love Oasis. Why would I want to split it up? It proper fuckin’ riles me, that. But real Oasis fans haven’t picked sides. They’re just like, ‘Fuckin’ hell, them two.”

To Liam’s credit , whenever he’s asked about the issue of an Oasis reunion, he always answers by saying that his bags are packed and he’s ready to do an Oasis gig if it’s on the cards.

Some might say that these quotes put a different spin on the final days of the iconic band.

Here’s where Liam will be playing in the next few weeks.
