James Murphy has described how he sat down with Nancy Whang and Pat Mahoney and decided to revive LCD Soundsystem, and not just for Coachella either.

In a lengthy Facebook post, the band's founder explained how they are recording a new record and will tour extensively throughout 2016. To anyone upset by the prospect of the band spoiling their legacy - so magnificently planted with a three-hour farewell show in Madison Square Garden in 2011 - Murphy has apologised. But they're back.
