LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy has made a lot of people very happy

James Murphy has described how he sat down with Nancy Whang and Pat Mahoney and decided to revive LCD Soundsystem, and not just for Coachella either.

In a lengthy Facebook post, the band’s founder explained how they are recording a new record and will tour extensively throughout 2016.

To anyone upset by the prospect of the band spoiling their legacy – so magnificently planted with a three-hour farewell show in Madison Square Garden in 2011 – Murphy has apologised.

But they’re back.
