Why is this show still happening?

Last year The Jump drew a lot of negative attention because most of the contestants injured themselves. Seven ended up withdrawing from the competition with injuries including a fractured ankle, dislocated elbow and hamstring injury.

It surprised everyone when it was announced that it would return again for a fourth series this year. The show which sees celebrities taking to the slopes doesn’t begin on Channel 4 until February 5th but it’s already had its first injury.

Vogue Williams has been forced to quit the show after she suffered an injury.

According to The Sun, she fell in training and damaged her knee. It happened while they were practicing Ski Cross, a track race where the celebrities reach speeds of 75mph.

A source confirmed the news saying:

“Vogue is absolutely devastated. She was so looking forward to taking part and has been training religiously.

She’s one of the most competitive of the group and was in with a real chance of winning.

But she fell very heavily during the ski cross training and really hurt her knee and on doctor’s orders she has had to pull out.”
