Jordan North says he feels ‘sick’ after on-air Christmas prank

Charlie Herbert

‘I feel sick – what the hell!’

Jordan North said he felt “sick” after his Capital FM co-host Josie Gibson played an on-air prank on him.

On Monday morning’s show, Jordan presented Josie with a gift, telling her he reckoned she should “wear my present on Christmas Day.”

Josie then opened the gift to reveal a Christmas pudding costume, before immediately looking upset and offended.

Feigning anger, she said: “Mate, you know… I did… Tom, I told you I didn’t want to talk about this. I’ve told you I didn’t want to talk about it.”

“I thought it would be funny, because it’s the Christmas pudding story,” a voice said from off-camera. Jodie responded: “You thought it would be funny? I nearly died. This is not… This isn’t really funny. Can we drop this bit?”

A stunned Jordan apologised profusely to his colleague, saying: “This is really bad. Oh, sorry! I didn’t know!”

Josie then pretended to start crying tearing up, and repeated: “This is really bad.” As Jordan continued to apologise, Josie then stormed out of the studio and shouted: “Go south, Jordan North!”

The presenter looked around and kept apologising despite Josie’s absence, asking others in the room if they knew what was going on.

Soon after though, Josie returned to reveal the whole thing was a prank at Jordan’s expense. “Only kidding!” she said as she sat back opposite Jordan smiling at him.

As Josie and the crew in the studio were in hysterics, Jordan needed a moment to compose himself after what he’d thought was an awful error of judgement.

“I feel sick,” he exclaimed. “Oh my God, Josie! I’m actually dripping with sweat. What the hell! Oh my God!”
