Jamie Vardy’s having a party as Channel 4 announce Celebrity Gogglebox lineup

We're well up for this

Channel 4 are really going for it with their brilliant Stand Up To Cancer campaign this year.

The broadcaster is joining forces with Cancer Research UK once again, as they enlist various celebrities to take part in different shows and help raise as much money as possible for an extremely worthy cause.

The one-off reboot of The Crystal Maze went down so well that viewers are already hankering for a full-blown series. Fans of the 90s show were particularly complimentary about Stephen Merchant’s presenting.

And there’s plenty more to come.

On Friday night we’ll be getting a celebrity special of Gogglebox, and judging by the lineup it might even be one to skip the pub for.

First up, currently solo One Directioner Niall Horan and pretty-good-at-football-popstar-turned-presenter Olly Murs will be sitting on the couch together reacting to some of the biggest shows on TV.

Speaking to The Daily Mail, Murs said, “I’m such a big fan of Gogglebox so being able to be on it with Niall is amazing, especially when it’s for such a brilliant cause like Stand Up To Cancer. We all need to play a part in beating cancer so let’s all join together and raise as much as we can.”

Horan added, “Olly and I had a great laugh filming Gogglebox and hope that we can raise as much as possible for such a great cause.”

Also included in the line-up are footballers Jamie Vardy, Daniel Sturridge and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Channel 4 have already released a short clip of the England trio kicking back on the sofa together, and in it Oxlade-Chamberlain has Sturridge cracking up over his love of the cashew nut/grape combo.

Not one we’ve ever dabbled in, but The Ox swears by it.

This year’s Celebrity Gogglebox special is especially poignant, as it will be the first without the narration of Caroline Aherne, who sadly died from cancer in July.

Appropriately, the show will be dedicated to her memory.

Gogglebox for Stand Up For Cancer will be on this Friday on Channel 4.
