The actor is said to be ‘communicating’ again after falling ill
Jamie Foxx was rushed to hospital due to a mystery medical emergency but due to “quick action” is now said to be “on his way to recovery”.
The actor suffered a “medical complication” on Tuesday, his daughter Corinne Foxx wrote on Instagram Wednesday, that required him to be taken to hospital.
The 55-year-old had been filming Back In Action in Atlanta with Cameron Diaz as recently as Monday.
The family also said in the statement that Foxx was now “on his way to recovery,” but did not specify what exactly had happened to him or how long he would require care for.
However, a source told TMZ Foxx had suffered a “medical emergency,”, but was now “communicating” again.
The family statement reads: “We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday [Tuesday].
“Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.
“We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”
Sources confirmed to TMZ that Foxx’s unnamed condition was indeed serious enough to require him to go to a hospital.
