the next James Bond' Elba. Aside from being a brilliant actor, DJ and bloke, he's now gone and won the title of
Sexiest Man Alive.
Yeah, like he needed any help.
Only kidding, we're firmly of the opinion that the star of
The Wire and
Luther has always been one of the coolest people alive and he now has the sexified accolade to show just how much sexy sex he sexes.
In typical self-deprecating fashion, after learning about the accolade, the star of
Thor and
American Gangster said: "I was like, ‘Come on, no way. Really?' I looked in the mirror, I checked myself out. I was like, ‘Yeah, you are kind of sexy today.’ But to be honest, it was just a nice feeling. It was a nice surprise — an ego boost for sure.”
To be fair, Elba has consistently been the epitome of cool and he's also an incredibly busy man. Aside from directing his feature-length debut in Yardie, Elba has also been a regular on the festival circuit (he played Dublin's Forbidden Fruit), he's been kickboxing in Thailand, designing his own clothing line, and starring in the next season of
Luther and the
Fast & Furious spin-off,
Hobbs & Shaw.
