Over the past twelve months, rumours have circulated that Adam may finally leave the soap after he took an extended break earlier this year performing in a touring play.
Now sources tell The Sun Adam Woodyatt "will quit" the role that famously saw him declare "I have nothing left!" following his stint on the forthcoming series of I'm A Celeb.
"He is optimistic it will open the minds of producers who might have previously only thought of him as Ian," the source said.
“And there are plenty of stars who’ve gone on to new things as a result of I’m A Celebrity.”
Adam will reportedly join Richard Madeley, footballer David Ginola, singer Frankie Bridge, TV presenter Arlene Phillips, Coronation Street star Simon Gregson amongst others in the jungle this year.
Perhaps after 36 years Adam's finally about to live up to his most viral moment and declare to EastEnders bosses: "I HAVE NOTHING LEFT!"
