Home Alone 1 and 2 are now streaming on Disney+

Too early to start with the Christmas films?

Two of the greatest Christmas films ever, Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost In New York, have just been added to Disney+.

The third movie has also been added as well, which is actually ok. Macaulay Culkin isn’t in that, but does feature a young Scarlett  Johansson.

Sadly for the real Home Alone heads, the made-for-TV Home Alone 4: Taking Back the House and Home Alone 5: The Holiday Heist are not on Disney+. Bet you didn’t even know they existed.

Sure, you watch them every year anyway, but one scene Home Alone 2 will feel a bit different this year: The infamous Donald Trump cameo.

The first Home Alone film was released in 1990. Macaulay Culkin became an instant child star, when he starred as Kevin, the fast-thinking kid who defends his home from the Wet Bandits (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern) when his family accidentally leave him at home.

The sequel Home Alone 2: Lost In New York followed in 1992, which saw the action transfer to the Big Apple, as Kevin gets on the wrong flight, and runs into Harry and Marv yet again. It is also the only sequel for which the majority of the main cast returned. Plus they added in Tim Curry and Rob Schnieder. What more could you want from a sequel?

Both films quickly became Christmas classics. They are also ridiculously violent for kids movies.

None of the main cast returned for the following sequels. Home Alone 3 has released in 1997, focusing on all-new characters and Alex D. Linz in the main role.

It was followed by two more straight-to-TV follow ups: 2002’s Home Alone 4: Taking Back the House and 2012’s Home Alone 5: The Holiday Heist.
