Netflix finally releases first look at new Tom Hardy action-packed thriller

The film comes from the mind behind Gangs of London and The Raid.

The movie sees Hardy play Walker, a bruised detective "fighting his way through the criminal underworld threatening to engulf his city".

"After a drug deal gone wrong, Walker finds himself with several factions on his tail, including a vengeful crime syndicate and a crooked politician, as well as his fellow cops," the plot synopsis reads.

"While attempting to rescue the politician’s estranged son, whose involvement in the drug deal starts to unravel a deep web of corruption and conspiracy, Walker is forced to confront the demons of his past."

Set to Fontaines D.C. single 'Starburster', the minute-long trailer is full of the bloody, bone-crunching, over-the-top action fans of Evans' work have come to expect.

The teaser also gives fans a peak at the film's supporting cast, which includes Forest Whitaker (The Last King of Scotland) and Timothy Olyphant (Justified).

Despite Havoc wrapping production in 2021, it needed reshoots - which ended up being delayed due to scheduling issues and the SAG-AFTRA strike.

As such, it's a relief to see Netflix finally hand Havoc a release date, with the movie now scheduled to drop on the service on 25 April.
