Gogglebox fan favourites the Malones are absolutely heartbroken after revealing that their legendary dog Dave has sadly passed away.
The dog became an absolute icon on the show and was known to millions as he slowly trudged along and chilled on the sofa with the Manchester fam as they watched television together.
On Wednesday, the mum of the family, Julie, took to Instagram to confirm the heartbreaking news writing: “RIP Dave xxx There are no words to describe you, or how much you meant to us. This was you on Sunday waiting for your Dad to come back and he had only gone out to the car.”
She concluded: “We are all going to miss you so much.”
Thousands of people responded to the heartbreaking news with one writing: “Noooooo not Dave!!!!! He was the best on Gogglebox. Heartbroken is an understatement.”
While someone else added: “Dave! He gave us all a laugh and he was a beautiful doggie. So very sad for your family.”
Son, Tom, also took to Instagram to share the tragic news writing: “Heartbroken to let you guys know that Dave has sadly left us today…I think we can all agree that there will never be another one like him. Rest Easy Dave.”
