Why Gerard Butler's Geostorm is leaving Tubi

The 109-minute film was added to Tubi on 1 August but is already scheduled to depart at the end of the month.

After that, the movie will only be available online to buy or rent on platforms such as Apple TV, Prime Video and YouTube.

It is not the only title on the way out: Jim Carrey’s Me, Myself & Irene, the Twilight films, the Lethal Weapon movies and the Friday series are all leaving Tubi in August too.

Geostorm is far from Butler’s only brush with catastrophe on screen.

The Scottish actor also starred in 2020’s Greenland and this year’s follow-up, Greenland 2: Migration — and fans chasing more tension can dig into the best thrillers to stream in 2026 while Geostorm counts down its final days.

After being added to Tubi on August 1, Geostorm is already set to leave the platform at the end of the month.

The disaster flick has proven durable with streaming audiences, ranking No. 4 on Netflix’s global chart of top English-language films earlier in its life, Screen Rant reports.

Anyone keen to watch it for free should do so before the month is out.
