Daenerys' costumes have evolved over the years as the designers have slowly started to integrate crimson and red into her clothes.
Basically, she's embracing her Targaryen lineage.
Jaime Lannister has also moved away from the gold cloak he wore as a member of the King's Guard.

New clothes

Nice bowl haircut, too.

Mmm...
14 April can't come soon enough.
