You can now buy part of one of the castles from Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones fans, rejoice – you can now own a part of the seven kingdoms.

Part of Gosford Castle, one of the castles used on the HBO fantasy epic, is on the market….with a £500,000 price tag.

The County Armagh castle’s exterior served as Riverrun, the House Tully stronghold, in season three.

The real estate listing, posted on Maison Real Estate, says:

“Built in the mid-1800s by the 2nd Earl of Gosford, Archibald Acheson, Gosford Castle is a grade A listed building.

“It was designed in the Norman Revival style by London architect Thomas Hopper and was occupied by the Earls of Gosford until 1921.”

In 2006, it was bought by Gosford Castle Development Limited – who put a £4 million proposal to restore the building into 23 residences.

There was a heavy focus on “retaining the character and historic integrity of the castle,” with the restoration even including the original colour schemes and features.

The part of the castle that is up for sale has been partially developed in some areas, with the idea of converting it into six luxury apartments…and a £500,000 price tag.

The location has been run as a hotel since 1983, with Maison Real Estate describing the possibilities for the area as “endless”, adding that “only on inspection can this castle and its beautiful location be truly appreciated.”
