Cathal Pendred’s certainly not resting on his laurels.
The former UFC welterweight retired from MMA last November, explaining how “the fire in my belly had dwindled a little bit.”
Dublin’s Pendred, who went on a four fight winning streak in the UFC before suffering a pair of losses in the second half of 2015, has kept himself busy since hanging up his gloves.

The SBG gym member recently announced the news that he had become a franchisee of health-focused restaurant Chopped but has since revealed plans that are slightly more glamorous.
“I’m also doing a bit of acting as well – it’s something I’ve always been interested in,” Pendred told Irish radio station 2fm.
“I’ve done some small parts here and there but now that I have a bit of extra time and don’t have to focus everything on a fight I’m doing auditions.”
Pendred’s teammate Conor McGregor was rumoured to be in the running for a role in the upcoming xXx movie alongside Vin Diesel but it sounds like ‘The Punisher’ could beat him to Tinseltown.
