A preview of the Australian version of The Office is finally here, with the series set to premiere on Prime Video in October.
As well all know, it was the character of David Brent that launched Ricky Gervais' career - among many others - all the way back in 2001; moreover, while Steve Carrell had certainly been around in Hollywood for many years, it was his turn as Brent's American counterpart, Michael Scott in The Office US, that made him a household name too.
However, the new Australian take on the series is approaching things a little differently.
Hannah Howard, played by Felicity Ward, will take on the role of managing director of Sydney-based packaging company, rather than a male boss taking on the role.
Playing a very similar role to Brent and Scott, the show will follow Howard attempting to win over her employees with her 'girlbossing'.
The series also stars Edith Poor in a role with a likeness of Dwight/Gareth, Steen Raskopoulos as Jim/Tim and Shari Sebbens as Pam/Dawn.
However, with the new trailer having dropped, fans are still less than convinced the new series is needed.
"Dear Prime, It's not too late to delete this," the top comment on the trailer says.
"I can already tell this is going to get cancelled after the first season," a second wrote.
While a third put: "They look and sound like they are trying too hard to be funny. There doesn’t feel like there’s the candidness of a documentary either."
"On behalf of everyone in my country: we completely understand if this results in a nuclear strike," another joked.
"If this is the best you got for the trailer the show is doomed," a fifth put.
Only time will tell whether the series will be a success, with it not set to drop for another couple weeks. However, from the reaction to the trailer, it's not looking good so far.
Viewers in the UK will be able to watch it via Prime Video when it premieres on October 18.
