First there was This Morning's excruciating interview with Daniel Craig, who was also put through a cringe-worthy one-to-one on Good Morning Britain.
Things got worse as Charlotte Hawkins sat down with James Bond villain Christoph Waltz for the ITV morning show - and similarly to Craig, Waltz was having none of it.
Hawkins asks: "Was there any part of you that thought, "Hold on I'm a double Oscar winner - should I be doing [Spectre]?" Did you hesitate at all?'
"Yeah I always do that, I always apply that precious measure", he replied, sarcastically.
It's a poor line of enquiry.
We're not saying it's an easy job but this is James Bond and Franz Oberhauser, whoever is preparing these questions needs to do better, much better.
