Not a smart move from the ITV bosses.
Home Alone fans are absolutely livid after tuning into watch the greatest Christmas movie of all time only to see a classic scene get cut.
Last night, the Home Alone sequel Lost in New York aired on ITV2.
The second film follows Kevin McAllister (Macaulay Culkin) somehow getting separated from his family again and this time ending up in the Big Apple.
Somehow thieves Marv and Harry just happen to be lingering in New York too, trying their luck as the city’s sticky bandits and despite literally millions of people living and visiting one of the most popular places in the world, they run into Kevin – and want revenge.
From a pigeon lady who looks like Piers Morgan to a cameo from Donald Trump, there’s a lot to be terrified about when it comes to the second Home Alone.
However, on this particular broadcast of the classic Christmas flick, one particular iconic scene had been cut out for ‘no reason’.
Viewers took to social media to rage about ITV cutting out the unforgettable moment where Marv is electrocuted by one of Kevin’s many traps and tricks.
If you’re struggling to remember that brilliant scene, here’s a reminder.

Earlier this week, Daniel Stern who played Marv in the first two Home Alone films took to TikTok earlier this week to reveal that he has stepped away from the spotlight in recent years, and is now embracing country life – living on a farm as a cattle rancher and sculptor.
Opening up about his change in career on his art website, he wrote: “When I was a kid, I was a terrible student but I excelled in all things artistic – theatre, choir, band, woodshed, metal shop, ceramics, and sculpture.
“I dropped out of high school when I was seventeen and moved to New York to become an actor. I got married and was a father by the time I was 23, and obviously had to just focus on my show business career.”
Acknowledging he ‘did a lot of great movies’, Stern shared that there simply came a point where he missed being away from his family.
