A new horror film has been hit with a rare ban following reports of walkouts and viewers vomiting.
Terrifier 3 releases in the UK today, and follows the story of Art the Clown, who gets up to the kind of murderous antics that will make you want to cover your eyes.
In the previous two films, the slasher has committed his crimes on the night of Halloween, but this time round, the horror is a festive thriller.
However, even though it might not be set in spooky season, it appears the film might be some of the scariest horror the franchise has seen yet.
Terrifier 3 has been hit with a rare ban in France, which hasn't been used in nearly 20 years.
Under 18s are being banned from showings of the film, in a move which has shocked its distributors. Normally, horror films in France are only banned for under 16s.
The last time this restriction was used was for Saw 3, which was released in 2006.
“We can only deplore this unexpected final decision, which will seriously hamper the release of the film," Terrifier's distributors told Bloody Disgusting.
" Terrifier 3 is a film d’auteur in the purest tradition of the slasher genre, with perfectly 'grand-guignolesque' and unrealistic violence.
"The film never takes itself too seriously, and we know that viewers will have the necessary distance and maturity to understand and appreciate this artistic approach.”
It comes after crew members of the film have revealed that working on the gruesome project has changed them forever, with one saying that they will ‘never be the same again’.
Signature Entertainment UK, who are distributing Terrifier 3 in the UK and Ireland, shared a clip of an employee watching the film.
The woman can be seen covering her eyes and looking away from the screen. She dares to look back for a moment before covering them again.
"This was one reaction. She'll never be the same again. Experience what she saw and more only in cinemas 11 October."
The first Terrifier, made on a tiny budget of just $60,000, was released in 2016.
The movie went viral after its release due to one particularly horrifying death scene, which involved somebody being mutilated with a hacksaw.
The sequel Terrifier 2 came along six years later and made an impressive $15.7million on a budget of just $250,000.
