In their review of the film,
Entertainment Weekly absolutely nailed its appeal by saying: "Given its title, you can be forgiven for assuming that Adam Wingard's home-invasion thriller will be just another blood-soaked body-count flick. But You're Next is better than that. A lot better."
Empire's review said that "Wingard is on his way to becoming the next Sam Raimi, and You're Next may well be your next favourite horror film." High praise indeed.
While the premise might be cliched, the death sequences are original and very memorable - we're not going to ruin things but one scene will stay with you for a long time.
Trust us, if you're a horror fan that has grown a little bit apathetic and bored of the more 'mainstream' releases, You're Next will do the trick.
