She fell from the Queen Vic on Christmas day

It’s going to be a tearjerker.

Weeks after her fall from the roof of the Queen Vic, EastEnders have confirmed Abi Branning’s final scenes.

Abi, played by Lorna Fitzgerald, was declared brain dead after she fell from the building on Christmas Day.

Doctors told her heartbroken family that there was “zero chance” of her regaining consciousness as she was “brain stem dead”.

Her dad, Max, has refused to accept his daughter’s fate and has been trying to get a second opinion, whilst putting all his money into getting a court order to keep her alive.

But in heartbreaking scenes set to air on January 19, the Branning family will reach the decision to switch off Abi’s life support machine.

It comes as Jacqueline Jossa revealed Lauren Branning’s final scenes will be airing next month.

The 25-year-old revealed on Instagram Live that she will be bowing out from the long-running soap in February.

But while she confirmed her exit, she remained tight-lipped on exactly when – and how – Lauren comes to leave Walford.

Lauren and Abi fell off the roof of the pub in Albert Square on Christmas Day, after they tried to stop their dad Max from taking his own life.

They were rushed to the hospital and Lauren managed to pull through, while Abi’s life hung in the balance.

Doctors later declared her to be brain-stem dead, leaving her parents heartbroken.

It was confirmed last year that Jacqueline Jossa and Lorna Fitzgerald were to be written out of the show as part of a “major shakeup” for the soap.
