The Voice… Y’know, that other singing show that’s not the X Factor.
The new series – the first to air on ITV since arriving from the Beeb – is already a whole two episodes old.
The switch in channels hasn’t been the only change made to the show, either. As always seems to happen with this kind of programme, there’s also been a few tweaks to the lineup of coaches since it was last on our tellies.
Ever-present will.i.am remains, but Paloma Faith, Ricky Wilson and Boy George, who occupied the other three chairs on the show during season five, have all gone.
Sir Tom Jones has returned, after appearing in the first four seasons of the show. He’s also joined by Jennifer Hudson, a former American Idol contestant and AcademyAward-winning actress.
And there’s some bloke called Gavin.
To be fair on Gav, or ‘Gavin Rossdale’ to use his proper name, he’s still a pretty big deal.
Once the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of the rock band Bush, he was also married to Gwen Stefani. On top of this, he was also the 2013 recipient of the British Academy’s Ivor Novello Award for International Achievement. Not something they just hand out to anyone.
Anyway, despite all this, those watching the show are still, even after last week…
