They felt as though their viewing experience was ruined.
Viewers were left pissed off whilst watching last night's episode of EastEnders, after a noise was heard in the background of every scene for nearly 15 minutes.
The noise came after Mel Owen was texted about a security breach at the club and failed to get someone to fix it. The sound only disappeared halfway through the ep.
"Have you been to Walford? Because I will have a mob with pitchforks and flaming torches outside if you don't shut that alarm up," she shouted down the phone, clearly not in the best mood.
Obviously, people watching at home didn't really get why they had to be subjected to the noise.

Jack eventually managed to turn the alarm off, telling Mel that he had a similar system at one of his properties. He said: "As far as I can see there's nothing wrong with that alarm. You must have a ghost."
But why did it go off then?
Well, the intruder who set off the alarm turned out to be none other than Billy Mitchell, who has been living in the club since he was chucked out for cheating.
