Disclosure are back with their second album – its beastly

Lia Nicholls

Just like Nas on Illmatic, Disclosure put their baby picture on the front of their award-winning debut album Settle – but they’ve gone wild for their second offering.

Guy and Howard Lawrence have announced the name and artwork of their second album as Caracal, released on September, 25.

In a statement, one half of the electronic duo, Howard, explained their thinking behind the ‘wild cat’ title:

“A caracal is an incredible wild cat that I became fascinated with while on tour last year; I just love the way they look, their physical capabilities and their anonymity.

“It felt like a perfect fit for our Wild Life brand too, so the caracal made perfect sense as the lead visual for the new album and over the course of recording, it also felt like a natural title for the new record too.”

New tunes Bang That and upcoming single Holding On are already being hailed as hits and with Nao, Kwabs and Lion Babe all collaborating on the record, it is on course to emulate the same success as Settle.

But until we get our hands on Caracal, here are some other brilliant records who have gone native for the cover.
