“Bring your adult diapers.”

After smashing box-office records and achieving critical acclaim, it comes as no surprise to learn that IT: Chapter Two is already in preproduction and that casting is about to be made.

In recent weeks, the supremely talented Jessica Chastain has been confirmed as the adult Beverly Marsh, with Bill Hader in talks to play Richie Tozier and James McAvoy likely playing the grown-up version of Bill Denbrough.

The Losers Club is about to be reunited and the director of IT: Chapter Two, Andy Muschietti, has promised a ‘darker, much scarier’ film than the first installment. In fact, he’s extremely happy to make audiences crap themselves after encouraging grownups to “bring your adult diapers.”

The director was speaking at the second day of the CinemaCon convention and with regards to the plot, the film takes place 27 years after the first film, with flashbacks to the ’80s. As adults, the Losers’ Club will resume their battle with the evil Pennywise.

The sequel will arrive on September 6, 2019. We all float down here.
