Actor Art Evans has died aged 82, his publicists has announced.
The actor, best known for his roles in Die Hard 2 and Fright Night, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, his publicist Erica Huntzinger told Variety.
Deadline reports that Evans' rep said he passed away following a battle with diabetes.
Evans will be known by many for his role in the Die Hard sequel, released in 1990, in which he plays the role of air traffic control employee Leslie Barnes. In the film, his character helps John McClane (Bruce Willis) stop terrorists from crashing planes.
He was also known for starring in 1985 horror film Fright Night, where he played Detective Lennox, an officer skeptical to believe a vampire has moved into town.
Along with these roles, Evans also appeared in a number of TV series, including M*A*S*H and The X Files.
He is survived by his wife Babe Evans and son Ogadae Evans.
