Carpool Karaoke is the perfect opportunity for cosseted celebrities to have some fun and let their hair down a bit.
All of which could be code for “take the piss”.
Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas joined James Corden for the latest Carpool Karaoke, and during the journey, Demi roasts Nick over his on again, off again relationships with Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus.

To be fair to him, he just sits in the back and takes all the slagging, but puts an end to it by eventually saying: “Are we going to keep talking about my dating life?”
As well as the obligatory singsong, James also asks them about intense fans and the weirdest things they’ve done.
Needless to say, he and his boyband brothers’ famed “Purity rings” are brought up and comprehensively mocked.
But he’s not all goody two shoes: for his part, Jonas talks about being tied up in bed, as well as performing while chained up in a gay club.

Corden is on a roll with Carpool Karaoke of late. Last week’s one featured Gwen Stefani along with George Clooney and Julia Roberts, while the J Lo edition was totally hijacked by a flirty text message from Leonardo diCaprio.
