Do you wish more movies had Deadpool in them?
The first
Deadpool movie gave the superhero genre a much needed shot of humour. Often they can can be incredibly po-faced and self-serious, and
Deadpool introduced a wry sense of humour (and some dirty language) to the comic book film, both taking the piss and playfully paying homage. Ok, the Marvel movies weren’t exactly short of jokes, but Ryan Reynolds took it to the next level.
And the marketing has been even more out there. The first film has those
emoji billboards, and for the sequel they
even roped in David Beckham.

But this might be the most impressive stunt yet. In the US, special sleeves have been added to Fox Home Entertainment’s Blu-ray back catalogue, with Deadpool himself recreating the original covers. He replaces Clint Eastwood on
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, and Arnold Schwarzenegger in
The Terminator. He holds up a bar of soap on the
Fight Club cover. He rides a horse on
War for the Planet of the Apes. He takes the place of every single X-Man on
Days of Future Past.

The special edition Blu-rays are exclusively available at Walmart in the US. And in some stores, it means that Deadpool has completely taken over the entire entertainment sections.
