Nor has he nearly been run over by a yellow cab while crossing the street, with or without uttering the phrase ‘I’m walking here’.
He’s gone one better, by appearing as a guest on New York television staple ‘Sesame Street’.

NYCFC have shared a behind-the-scenes video of Villa hanging out with the Cookie Monster. One’s an unnatural blue monster that by rights shouldn’t exist, and the other is a Sesame Street character.
The Spain international was clearly awestruck upon meeting his hero – along with fellow Muppet Rosita – and was so distracted that he handed the pair outfield football shirts with a goalkeeper’s number on the back.
Villa’s guest slot saw him help young viewers count – all together now…one, two, three, four, five, six, seven.
