David Attenborough’s new nature documentary series on Netflix looks spectacular

Paul Moore

Clear your weekend because it arrives tomorrow

Sunday evenings have long been the domain of David Attenborough, probably because his wonderful nature documentaries are akin to the most perfect comedowns from a busy weekend.

However, that’s about to change as the beloved broadcaster’s latest series has been made for Netflix instead of the BBC, meaning you’ll be able to watch it whenever you like.

And unsurprisingly, Our Planet looks like it’s everything that we’ve come to expect from a David Attenborough show.

Using the latest technology, Our Planet was filmed entirely in Ultra High Definition in over 50 countries. From exotic jungles to the deepest seas, the project took fours to film and the production had over 600 crew members.

To put things into perspective, that’s three and a half thousand filming days!

With the series set to launch on 5 April, we’ve been treated to even more clips and they look spectacular.

The official synopsis for the show reads:

Share the wonder of the extraordinary place we call home. Utilizing the latest technology Our Planet was filmed entirely in Ultra High Definition in over 50 countries. From exotic jungles to the deepest seas, open your eyes to the connections we all share.
