2. You were pwning n00bs on Counter-Strike before Call of Duty and Battlefield were even really a thing

 

3. When CS: Source arrived, you marvelled at how different the game was

 

4. And when CS: Condition Zero arrived, you marvelled at how underwhelming the game was

Wow... it's, like, the same. Now it's all about CS:GO, and if I had the time and money to get back into PC gaming... I still probably wouldn't play it.  

5. Joining a clan was a big step up in your Counter-Strike career

 

6. Getting your own server was huge too

How much damn time did we all spend in the Steam server lobby? Too much.  

7. Hackers could make the game incredibly frustrating - aimbots and wallhacks were the worst

Anyone that was just too good got accused of being a hacker - even if it was genuine skill.  

8. Until you learned how to hack yourself, then it was loads of fun

Speedhacking all over the place - unstoppable!  

9. No AWPs, you n00b
