Chris Hemsworth to play Hulk Hogan in new biopic

For some reason, this just makes perfect sense

If you were asked to name five people that come to mind whenever someone mentions the WWE, Hulk Hogan would surely be top of the list or close to it.

Whether you love him or hate him, the man played a huge part in the transformation of the WWE into what it is today.

He is seen as a legend of the industry, which is why many wrestling fans will be extremely excited to hear that a new biopic about the man himself is on the way.

And if that doesn’t have you excited enough, it appears as if Chris Hemsworth is going to play him.

Thor himself has been cast as Hulk Hogan, in a biopic that is expected to be aired on Netflix.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie will reunite Todd Phillips with Scott Silver, the respective director and writer of the upcoming DC Comics movie The Joker.

Hogan’s life has been rife with controversy, especially in recent years. He was caught on tape allegedly using a racial slur in 2012, and was at the heart of a sex tape scandal.

However, the biopic will not delve into those years or attempt to encompass Hogan’s entire life.

Instead, sources say it will focus on his rise and is described as an origin story of the Hulkster and Hulkamania.

The project is still in its early stages, so we don’t have a release date just yet.
