It seems that Jake Gyllenhaal can do no wrong these days with a string of critical and box-office successes.

His latest movie looks to continue that rich vein of form with a wrought and off-kilter movie about a man whose life begins to unravel when his wife dies. Gyllenhaal plays an unremarkable investment banker who starts to lose it following his tragic loss, and finds himself wanting to dismantle parts of his life that had remained unpacked - both emotionally and physically. It's directed by Jean-Marc Vallee, whose previous credits include Dallas Buyers Club and Wild, and co-stars Chris Cooper and Naomi Watts.
