Bryce Dallas Howard has revealed that she was paid "so much less" than her co-star Chris Pratt for featuring in the Jurassic World films.
The American actor first starred in the rebooted Jurassic Park franchise in 2015 had has featured throughout the trilogy alongside Chris Pratt.
Despite both actors featuring heavily in all three films, Howard claims she was paid significant less than her opposite number, Pratt.
Upon the release of the second film in the trilogy, Fallen Kingdom, in 2018, Howard and Pratt's pay packets were reported, with the former earning $2m (£1.5m) less than the latter.
While Pratt earned $10m (£7.6m) Howard earned $8m (£6m) which already seems like a big gap, however, Howard claims that she earned even less.
The 43-year-old told Business Insider that the reports were in fact wrong and that the real amount paled in comparison.
She said: "The reports were so interesting because I was paid so much less than the reports even said, so much less."
In 2022, Jurassic World Dominion grossed over $1bn (£760m) in the global box office and was the third highest-grossing film of that year.
Howard went on to reveal the reason behind the pay discrepancy which concerned a contract signed back in 2014 which covered all three films in advance.
She explained: "When I started negotiating for Jurassic, it was 2014, and it was a different world, and I was at a great disadvantage. And, unfortunately, you have to sign up for three movies, and so your deals are set."
Howard praised her co-star, Pratt, who had been advocating for her to receive equal pay on opportunities that were not bound by the already signed contract.
She said: "What I will say is that Chris and I have discussed it, and whenever there was an opportunity to move the needle on stuff that hadn't been already negotiated, like a game or a ride.
"He literally told me, 'You guys don't even have to do anything. I'm gonna do all the negotiating. We're gonna be paid the same, and you don't have to think about this, Bryce."
She added: "I love him so much for doing that.
"I really do, because I've been paid more for those kinds of things than I ever was for the movie."
