There could be life left in one of the cleverest shows out there, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, yet.
Given the outcry after Fox announced that they were pulling the plug on Brooklyn Nine-Nine after the current fifth series, it's no surprise to learn that a number of other networks are considering picking up the cleverest TV comedy since Parks and Recreation.
Deadline is reporting that Hulu - who picked up The Mindy Project when it was dropped by Fox after three seasons - are in pole position to take over production of the hit show, with interest also coming from TBS and NBC.
Netflix is seen as a longer shot, despite its syndication deal with Fox to carry the show on its service, as Hulu currently holds Subscription Video on Demand rights to Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
Petitions to save Jake, Terry, Amy, Charles and the inimitable Captain Holt have sprung up overnight on Change.org - such as this - with thousands of people hoping to see their favourite show continue.
