Will tonight’s Better Call Saul see the return of everyone’s favourite meth dealer?
It’s a big moment for fans of Breaking Bad, as the day has seemingly finally arrived where Walter White and Jesse Pinkman cross paths with Saul Goodman in Better Call Saul.
Eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot the title of the latest episode of the show’s sixth and final season which was alluringly named “Breaking Bad”.
Taking to the internet, viewers have quickly assumed that this is could be the moment that Better Call Saul comes full circle and finally introduces its fast-talking lawyer-star to everyone’s favourite chemistry-teacher-turned-meth cook and his dealer partner-in-crime.
No spoilers here though – if you want to find out whether Bryan Cranston’s Walter White and Aaron Paul’s Jesse Pinkman do actually appear in Better Call Saul‘s latest episode, you’ll have to watch it for yourself.
That said, we do know that both stars are due to show up at some point during the spin-off series’ final few episodes – and there’s only a handful left to go before everything wraps up. So essentially, tonight could very well be the night that the one who knocks comes knocking once again.
“Tonight episode of Better Call Saul is called Breaking Bad. I think it’s safe to say will be seeing some Breaking Bad characters make a cameo here tonight,” professed on Twitter user.
“Can’t believe there’s a new episode of Breaking Bad tonight…” said another.
Earlier this year, Better Call Saul co-creator and writer Peter Gould confirmed to PaleyFest LA audiences that Cranston and Paul would indeed be accompanying Bob Odenkirk’s Saul Goodman during his final outing.
“I don’t want to spoil things for the audience, but I will say the first question we had when we started the show was, ‘Are we gonna see Walt and Jesse on the show?’ Instead of evading, I’ll just say yeah,” he dished.
“How or the circumstances or anything, you’ll just have to discover that for yourself, but I have to say that’s one of many things that I think you’ll discover this season.”
Meanwhile, in other Breaking Bad related news, the city of Albuquerque – where both shows are largely set – recently unveiled a pair of giant bronze statues dedicated to the show’s stars.
Cranston, Paul and a number of other cast members were in attendance for the big reveal.
