Bono tells Jimmy Kimmel about a great piece of advice he received from Bruce Springsteen

When the Boss speaks, you listen

When the Boss speaks, you listen.

There aren’t many people in the music business who have had such a high-profile for such a long time as Bono and U2 have, but Bruce Springsteen is certainly one of them.

As you might expect of two acts with such longevity, they’ve got to know each other pretty well down the years and though Bono wouldn’t exactly be lacking in the ego department, he has no problem admitting that Bruce is the real boss.

U2 made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel in the midst of the North American leg of their world tour this week, with Bono revealing to the chat show host one of the best pieces of advice he was given during his many encounters with The Boss.

Of course, by actually appearing on the Kimmel show, U2 were actively ignoring what Springsteen had told them, but it was great to hear Bono talk about the mutual respect between two legends of the music scene and he couldn’t resist turning on the charm to his audience at the end.
