Bond fans won’t have to “wait long” for new theme tune

The time is almost nigh for the Bond theme tune, says 007 director Sam Mendes.

The filmmaker - who is currently at the helm of the franchise's latest instalment Spectre - said the title song had been finished and insisted fans will be hearing the track very soon. It is still a closely guarded secret who will be following in Adele's footsteps with the job for the theme, although Ellie Goulding got spy fans excited when she tweeted 'Live and Let die' earlier this month.
