The presenter is said to have been involved in a collision with two other vehicles.
Ant McPartlin was arrested yesterday after crashing his Mini in Richmond, west London, in an accident with two other cars just before 4pm. McPartlin failed a roadside breathalyser test and was taken to a south London police station by Met police after the incident.
Those involved were treated at the scene for minor injuries, whilst one child passenger was taken into hospital as a precautionary measure.
The Saturday Night Takeaway host was with his mother at the time of the crash. He entered rehab last year after struggling with an addiction to painkillers and announced in January that he would be divorcing his wife of 11 years Lisa Armstrong, the make-up boss on Strictly Come Dancing.
Police have confirmed that he has been released under investigation this morning after being held since Sunday afternoon.
