Annie Wersching, best known for role in TV series 24, dies aged 45

Annie Wersching, best known for playing FBI agent Renee Walker in the TV series 24 and most recently for staring as the Borg Queen in Star Trek: Picard, has died. She was 45. Wersching died on Sunday morning in Los Angeles following a battle with cancer, her publicist told the Associated Press. You will be deeply missed.” Annie's first acting credit was in Star Trek: Enterprise, and she would go on to have recurring roles in the seventh and eighth seasons of 24, as well as in Bosch, The Vampire Diaries, Marvel’s Runaways, The Rookie and, most recently, the second season of Star Trek: Picard as the Borg Queen. Annie is survived by her husband, actor Stephen Full, and three sons, Freddie, 12, Ozzie, 9, and Archie, 4. A GoFundMe page has been set up to support the family and as of Monday morning $135,793 (£109,696) has been raised. The fundraiser, organised by Ever Carradine, details how Annie was diagnosed in the Summer of 2020 but was "a private person by nature, and the diagnosis made her even more so." "She wanted to protect her boys. She wanted to get better so she could continue working. And honestly, she just didn't really want to talk about it. She wanted to live her life, on her terms, and be with her family. Annie lived for her family. She loved her work and cherished her friends, but Steve and the boys were her absolute everything." The description on the page continued: "This Go Fund Me is for them. It's so Steve can have time to grieve without the pressure of needing to work. "So he can be daddy to Freddie (12), Ozzie (9) and Archie (4) as they navigate the future without their mom, without sweet Annie. It's so they can continue to go to baseball games (Go Cardinals!) take music lessons and play little league. It's to help pay for college. "It's so Steve can continue Annie's tradition of filling the house with every life-sized balloon that'll fit in the car for birthday mornings. It's to give them time to navigate life as a family of four without the burden of paying medical bills or funeral expenses. "It's so they can continue to live life in a way that they know would make Annie proud. Everyone loved Annie. Everyone. But however much we loved her, she loved her boys more.
