Gang Signs & Prayer is now platinum!

The BPI have today announced that following Stormzy’s epic BRIT Awards performance last night at London’s O2 Arena, the MC’s debut album, Gang Signs & Prayer, has now been certified platinum in the UK.

In a tweet issued today, it read:

“Ahead of our normal #bpiAwards announcements, we’ve some news hot off the press! After scooping ‘British Male Solo Artist’ & ‘Mastercard British Album of the Year’ at last night’s @BRITs, @Stormzy1‘s ‘Gang Signs & Prayer’ is now a Platinum selling album in the UK!”

Already having a pretty good day himself with masses of support and praise flooding in for last night’s performance and scathing words aimed in the direction of Prime Minister Theresa May, Stormzy couldn’t believe his album had gone platinum, selling over 300,000 copies in the UK alone.
