Aaron Carter, singer and brother of Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter, dies aged 34

Homicide detectives have been dispatched to the scene

Aaron Carter, brother of Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter, died on Saturday. He was 34. The singer and television personality's death was reported but multiple US outlets including TMZ and The Hollywood Reporter.

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed only that a suspicious death took place at the address of Carter’s home in Lancaster, California. He did not confirm the identity of the deceased.

Representatives for Aaron and his brother have not yet commented. TMZ said several sources told it that the performer's body was found in the bathtub after law enforcements officers received a 911 call around 11am saying that a male had drowned. The publisher said homicide detectives had been dispatched to the scene, however, it added there was no information to suggest foul play. Aaron is survived by his son, Prince.
