A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed only that a suspicious death took place at the address of Carter’s home in Lancaster, California. He did not confirm the identity of the deceased.
Representatives for Aaron and his brother have not yet commented. TMZ said several sources told it that the performer's body was found in the bathtub after law enforcements officers received a 911 call around 11am saying that a male had drowned. The publisher said homicide detectives had been dispatched to the scene, however, it added there was no information to suggest foul play. Aaron is survived by his son, Prince. Other television credits included competing on the 2009 season of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars, where he finished fifth, and on the Food Network cooking battle series Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off in 2012.
Aaron, who later moved into rap music, has had multiple rehab stays, most recently entering earlier this year in an effort to regain custody of his son Prince.
He had previously entered rehab in 2017 following an arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence and marijuana charges, THR noted.
