‘Game Of Thrones’ fan spots Hodor actor getting into a lift and you know what happened next

Hold the door

SPOILERS AHEAD: Kristian Nairn, aka Hodor (RIP) from Game Of Thrones is probably going to have to get used to this. For the rest of his life.

All week the internet has been paying tribute to the self-sacrificing hero, whose name we found out to be the result of a harrowing boyhood premonition on Monday night’s dramatic episode.

We’ve already told you about the honorary Hodor doorstops that have been cropping up all over the internet since the popular character’s sad demise at the hands of the White Walkers, and it turns out a lot of fans want their own “Hold the door” anecdote.

YouTuber Turps was at a screening of the new Warcraft movie when he noticed Nairn going to catch an elevator – you can probably fill in the blanks about what happened next.

It looked like Nairn was in on the joke, as the video was captioned: “Had to rush out and nearly missed out on the last elevator, luckily someone held the door for me. Thanks to Kristian ‘Hodor’ Nairn for being such a legend!”

The GoT star has definitely been the man of the moment this week, having also received a brilliant door-themed cake during a stay at a hotel. The note that came with it said: “To a a true gentleman who holds the door. Enjoy your stay.”

‘The Door’ is currently the third most popular Game of Thrones episode of all time on IMDb with a user rating of 9.8 at the time of writing. The only two above it are ‘Hardhorne’ and ‘The Rains of Castamere’ – the episode with the infamous Red Wedding massacre.
