The 94-year-old broadcasting legend fell into the 'second priority' group

Sir David Attenborough has received his coronavirus vaccine, according to reports. One of Attenborough's representatives confirmed to The Independent that the broadcaster had received his vaccination. He was on the 'second priority' list, receiving his vaccine just days after The Queen, who like Attenborough, is 94 years old. Last month, Attenborough was interviewed by The Telegraph, and was asked whether he'd consider jumping the queue in order to obtain his vaccination. He said: "At 94, I think I'm entitled". Attenborough has previously spoken out about the efficacy of vaccines. He said: "I'm sufficient of a scientist still, I hope, to realise this is the thing to do. "The virus has made us feel we are more vulnerable, and vulnerable to what is happening to the world". He believes the impact America has on climate policy makes their political appointments a global issue. "America is the most powerful country in the world, economically, and has a huge influence on what happens. "That someone should be coming into power who recognises the importance of the ecological problems that face us – whose first statement after it became clear he was going to become the President-Elect was to reinstate America's backing of the Paris Agreement... "I can't remember getting out of my seat and cheering all by myself until that moment. I have never done it before, even for our own elections."
