Healthcare workers and those working on the frontline of the emergency services have received much praise for their work during the pandemic.
In the UK, the Clap For Carers movement gave thanks to NHS staff and the healthcare profession in general. However, the scheme was ended after 10 weeks, as even the movement's founder admitted more needed to be done for key workers.

However, the efforts of educational staff have arguably been overlooked in the months since the first lockdown. Both here and in America.
It is this which prompted Mark Wahlberg to pay special thanks to teachers and their families."Everyday brings a new challenge, but we continue to pray for you and your families," Wahlberg said.
"And please know your efforts are much appreciated."
