Stelling, 67, has three children with wife Liz whom he married back in 1998.
Brothers Robbie, born in 1998, and Matthew, who is a year younger, were blamed for the stunt.
Stelling, who has pretended Gillette Soccer Saturday since 1994, threatening Robbie with a shirt of Hartlepool's rivals Darlington, and joked that Matt would get a single ticket to a Crystal Palace fixture thanks to his support for Brighton.
Stelling stepped down from his Sky Sports role in March.
